I have had the City plumping lip gloss for 2 weeks, and I see no change at all in using it. I wish I hadn't bought the extra tube. The fragrance isn't good either. Fragrance free would be my choice if they had it, and if I could see any change in my lips.
It seems that all the positive reviews are likely from individuals who were paid to write them. The product doesn't actually plump your lips; it only provides a moisturized, glossy appearance. I have been using it for a month now and I'm disappointed. I also reached out to customer service via email but have not received any response. It's unfortunate that I fell for this and bought two with a bogus coupon. Don't be deceived by this; I am certain there must be a product that actually works and does the job. This one is definitely a scam.
The first time I used this, my lips tingled making me think it was working. My lips did not change in the least bit. Every time since using it the first time, there has been no tingling and NO change in the appearance of my lips or fine lines. It is very thick and does not stay on long. Definitely a let down for the price.
Sadly this is the second time i have ordered City Lips. i should learned the first time. Yes, product does condition your lips but as for its "plumping claim, it is non existent. Where are the before and after photos? Very disappointed.
I loved this plumper when it first came out years ago. But, the last 2 times I bought it, there was very little product in the tubes! Didn't last long at all! But, as it's 2 for one, I will try it one more time. I used to love this product, one tube would last for a long time...not anymore:(
While I ♥️ many other City Beauty skin care products, my lips react badly to something in the City Lips product. I develop a red rash on my lips and above and below the lip area. It is uncomfortable. No doubt an allergiy to an ingredient. I swear by face and body products - this is the only one J cannot use.
PLEASE READ this product does not work I called to return it they do not pay for the shipping to return it do not buy it do not waste your time do not waste your money
This lip gloss does ABSOLUTELY nothing. I should have returned it after reading the reviews, but I had grand ideas of what ifs and maybes. It's super thick, which whatever, but it doesn't enhance anything or do literally anything.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT MADE MY LIPS BURN BADLY. DID NOTHING ELSE. NO PLUMPING WHATSOEVER - JUST MADE A BURNING, GOOEY MESS ON MY LIPS AND BURNT THE SURROUNDING SKIN. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
This product did not work for me. I allowed two separate lengthy trial periods, and ended up choosing the trash can. The texture was uncomfortably sticky, and left no visible improvement. Difficulty with the company's policies topped off my disappointment!
This stuff is super sticky. If you wear it at night and have long hair you'll wake up with your hair stuck to your lips. Wearing it during the day you feel like you have honey on your lips. It does nothing to plump or soften lips. I think all these other reviews must be fake-I can't imagine anyone liking this stuff. Only plus is the nice packaging which I'm now throwing away along with the product.
I paid the cost and postage from the USA. I then had to pay 14.50 GBP for customs charges, that and the exchange charge this product has cost me an additional 20 GBP. Beware UK buyers. City Lips your comments would be appreciated. Thank you.
After hearing about this from my friend, I decided to try it myself. Things seemed to be OK until the third day of using it. I would put my regular lipstick on in the morning and by the afternoon my lips were a fake pink color even without my lipstick. My lipstick is a frosty light pink. Did not like that at all! At first I thought it was my lipstick. I soon realized it was the City Lips clear product I was using. I stopped using this City Lips product once I figured it out.
Product stated specifically it didn't burn like others, FALSE. Burned so badly, still was burning after removed and applied carmex. Burned for over an hour. Their customer service was very friendly but sent me an incomplete return authorization (didn't cover full order) AND they make you pay for shipping both ways even though it BURNS!!!!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM. THEY ARE WITHHOLDING $232 OF MINE. They send me the same email response anytime I ask about the refund even though the first message admitted to not refunding me. Oh and the product was awful too. Super sticky on your lips. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
I'm 72 years young and have used City Lips as directed for over a month. While it is definitely moisturizing, there is no difference in the plumpness of my lips, nor is there any change in the age lines above and below lips. The only difference is that my wallet is now as thin as my lips.
The only I gave 1 star is because I can't give 0. I have contact customer support twice with no response in regards to a refund. This is an overpriced cheap lip gloss. 1. No tingle. 2. No plump effect. 3. No fine line reduction effect. Super disappointed.
I really love city lips clear and I believe I would love the sheer colors but this more opaque, solid lip product is a sticky, gooey, gloppy mess. I will try to return this and instead ordered a pink shade in a sheer lip product.
First I didn't receive my order at all then when I thought customer service had resolved problem l was sent the wrong order. I called & a very nice young lady was unable to "access" the internet special of $20 each that I'd originally ordered after the $25 dollar special on the clear. It was a splurge so now I'd have to pay for return shipping. Again, VERY disappointed!
I tried to order this and the company took the money from my account but never gave me a confirmation number or email saying I had purchased it. I contacted the company and they told me that I needed to contact my bank rather than try to fix it and track my order.
