What a pleasant surprise!
I had given up on wearing any type of lip products. Most have fragrance and flavoring which I've always been allergic to. My lips react by becoming dry, chapped and flaky/peeling which requires nothing by Vaseline for days. So I was very skeptical about City Lips since it states clearly there is a vanilla scent/taste. I got brave one evening and decided to order the new South Peach shade (Amazon) and was blown away. This is a beautiful, softly bright color that I feel looks great on me. Not only that, but my lips never dried out or reacted in any way other than moisturized and happy. I love this product so much I ordered Clear and Tokyo Kiss (City Beauty bogo sale). Clear seems thicker and even more hydrating. Tokyo Kiss isn't a great shade on me but I can make it work. I had such a hard time picking colors as I wasn't sure how sheer these all are or how glittery the shimmers are. At my tender age, I'm happiest with sheer but glitter isn't kind to my more mature skin. Anyway, I'll be ordering more!

You may notice that the 1-star reviews are buried around page 190, while positive reviews are placed in the front. Would a company confident in the superiority of their product act in this manner? P.S. Just because someone on YouTube or in the comments claims that a product works doesn't mean you should disregard your own observations. Look closely and think critically. In many before-and-after pictures, it appears that the only change is that the person has pursed their lips more. This observation also holds for some positive video reviews. P.P.S. To date, there are no studies that have proven that hyaluronic acid is effective when applied topically. The two methods known to be effective are 1) injection or 2) oral supplements. Simply applying it to your skin does not have the desired effects. P.P.P.S. Save your money.

I think I've already submitted a review for this Lip Crack! I call it that because if you use it once, you'll never stop using it!! It is hands down the very best lip plumper I've ever used. I've been using it for years, before they had any other products on the market. I'm a straw drinker & I vape. Needless to say, I have a lot of those AWFUL lip lines. I know, stop vaping & ditch the straws, but keep using this product. That's not gonna happen anytime soon, but I am going to keep using this product for as long as I can afford it! C'mon City Beauty, Please Run a BOGO! More importantly, PLEASE bring back ORCHID!!! The existing colors are okay, but they're tired. You're sold out of my two faves; Tinsel Town & Los Angelips…that was a huge disappointment when you did run a BOGO and those two colors weren't available. Waa-waaa…I'll leave y'all with a tip… If you'd like to change up your City Beauty lip gloss colors, buy the clear, but switch the wands back and forth from an existing tube of City Beauty color. This did what I was hoping it would do. As I get older, my lips have lost volume they really couldn't afford to lose. Lip injections make me nervous, even if they weren't so expensive. I've been searching for a lip product that wouldn't just give me an hour of poof then leave me with cracked dry lips. I remembered reading about City lips a few years ago and thought I'd give it a try…didn't hurt that I caught them on their BOGO sale. Within minutes my lips were flushed a pretty pink, super smooth, and they were definitely fuller! Also, there was no pain, and only a very, very slight tingling that lasted maybe a second or two…fast enough that I could have imagined it. I took my before picture immediately before applying City lips and the after was about 2-3 minutes later. My lips feel conditioned and the thick gloss makes me think I won't need to apply it 100 times a day or suffer the consequences. Definitely happy to have purchased!

i actually think this is an incredible lip product and i feel like the bad reviews are from people confused by the term "lip plumper". normally when products are called lip plumpers they sting and irritate the lips causing them to be red and swollen. this isnt like that so the results wont be as dramatic. instead of irritating your lips this product chooses to deeply hydrate your lips to give a natural plumper appearance. i dont mind the tingling of lip plumpers personally but i do think theyre a bit harsh. i like thag with this my lips just look and feel healthier. my lips are medium sized and prone to being dry and chapped. when my lips are dry they get a bit shriveled and look smaller than they actually are. when i use this even if its only once my lips feel plump and super soft the whole day. i love using this under liquid lipstick but its great on its own as well. the only two negatives i see with this are 1) it is very sticky. it does dry down somewhat but just be prepared for that. if you hate sticky gloss then youll definitely hate this. 2) i do think $35 for a gloss is a bit steep but if you view as more skincare for your lips and not a makeup item it makes the price seem better or at least thats what i say to make myself feel better about it. overall i think as long as your expectations are realistic then you wont be disappointed. i really like this product.
